Glenn Norman Barr, 76, of Daybrook, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at Monongalia General Hospital.
He was born February 27, 1924, in Marion County, son of the late Nicholas and Rutha Gay Bates Barr.
He retired as a construction worker and was a member of Laborers Union 379. He was affiliated with the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Edra Grace Eddy Barr; six sons, Glenn Norman Barr Jr., of Moundsville, Richard Earl Barr, Robert LeRoy Barr, Dempsey Ray Barr and Daniel Craig Barr, all of Daybrook, and Charles Keith Barr, of Hazlet, N. J.; four daughters, Ell en Wright, of Sophia, N. C., Connie Ruth Price, of Wadestown, Nancy Dorene Hayhurst, of Lumberport, and Jennette Crouch, of Daybrook; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, two grandchildren, six brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Owen-Neely Funeral Home, Blacksville, from 7-9 P.M. Tuesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Wednesday. Service will be at 11 A.M. Thursday, March 9, with Pastor Lowell Cottrell officiating. Burial will be in Daybrook Cemetery.
