Mark W. Daniel age 47 of Pflugerville, Texas died Saturday February 27, 1999. He attended school at Goldthwaite and graduated from Goldthwaite High School in 1970. He received
a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Tarleton State University and did graduate work at Texas A&M University.
At the time of his death he was employed as County Executive Director of the Farm Service Agency in Travis County, Texas in Austin. He was also a well known cattle and goat rancher. Mr. Daniel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Goldthwaite, and attended St. Elizabeth's
Catholic Church in Pflugerville. He was an artist, cartoonist, wood carver and story teller. He was a member of the Hereford Association, the Boer Goat Association, past presiden ot the Texas Red Angus Association, was a 4-H adult leader, a Pflugerville FFA/4H Booster Club member, a member of the Central Texas Wood Carvers, a member of the Texas Association of State and County Office Employees (TASCOE) and was a membr of the Austin Area Prostate Cancer Support Group. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Camille Daniel.
Survivors are his wife, Cheryl Daniel; his children, Tom, Sarah, and Kate; his parents, Jerol and Floyd Daniel of Goldthwaite; and one sister, Karen Krueger and her husband, Glynn, of Hamilton.
A wake was held at 7:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Pflugerville on Monday evening, March 1, 1999. The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 1999 at the First Baptist Church in Goldthwaite. Interment will follow in the North Brown Cemetery, Mills County Texas. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to a favorite charity.
