Edwin Lee Anthony

Mr. Edwin Lee Anthony, 50, passed away on Sunday November 4, 2007. Edwin was born in Ennis on December 3, 1956 to parents Edwin Dan and Margaret Slagle Anthony.

He graduated from Ennis High School in 1975. He was in the US Marine Corp from 1977 to 1979. On August 25, 1995 he married Wanda Merritt Watson and they made their home in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

He was a long haul truck driver for many years and an oil rig worker in the Gulf of Mexico. He was a member of Summit Baptist Church of Pine Bluff Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife Wanda Anthony of Pine Bluff Arkansas; parents Dan & Margaret Anthony of Ennis; one daughter Andrea Anthony of Pine Bluff; step- children Merritt and Holiday Watson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Three brothers Joe of Dallas, James & wife Penny Anthony of Tampa Fla.;and Billy Anthony of Roanoke, TX. Two sisters, Debbie & husband Terry Smith of Ennis; and Patricia & husband Ben Wallace of Cedar Hill; five nephews and two nieces.

Services will be held Thursday November 8, 2007 at 10am in Keever Chapel. Rev. Irvan Anthony will officiate. Visitation Wednesday 6-8pm in the Keever Chapel. Internment will be in Elm Branch Cemetery in Bardwell under the direction of JE Keever Mortuary.
