There are consecration services… There is a difference between a Deaconess and a nurse. The work of a Deaconess is a service done for Christ’s sake…and includes other forms besides nursing the sick…A Deaconess may not marry while she is a Deaconess. But if at any time she wishes to give up her vocation and change her relation, she is at liberty to do so.
