DEATH CLAIMS A. B. WOLVERTON WHILE IN MEMPHIS HOSPITAL
A. B. Wolverton, of this city, died at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis last night, according to a telephone message received here today by friends. The particulars of the death have not been learned. The deceased, with his wife, left here on Sunday afternoon for Memphis where they went to consult with a specialist regarding the condition of Mr. Wolverton who has been in bad health for over a year, but no one thought that he was so near death's door. It is thought by some that he might have undergone an operation and died as a result, but this is not known.
Mr. Wolverton has resided here for a number of years and had been engaged in timber and wood working plants. For a long time he was associated with Mr. Hetherington in the Ohio Handle Factory. He is survived by his wife, who was the only relative here. He was a most excellent gentleman and made many friends. He was a prominent Elk and was one of the members of the building committee that erected the new home in this city.
A telephone message was received by Herbert Parker at 2 o'clock this afternoon which stated that the burial would be at Painesville, Ohio, a small place near Cincinnati. The remains will be accompanied by Mrs. Wolverton and a member of the Elks Lodge of Memphis. The funeral will not occur until Friday or Saturday.-Jonesboro Tribune
Marriage to Sarah: 29 Nov 1876 Lake County, Ohio
