Dorothy Wooden Leavell, 65, Columbus, Ohio, and formerly of Hopkinsville, died at 3 a.m. Monday at her home following a short illness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Gamble Funeral Home, with the Rev. C.F. Hubbard officiating, and burial Monday in Cave Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
A Christian County native, she was born Jan. 17, 1925, daughter of the late Nathaniel and Bennie Allenworth Wooden. She was a domestic and a member of Durrett Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include four brothers, Claude H. Johnson, Hopkinsville, Charlie Wooden, Inglewood, Calif., Elijah Wooden, Hopkinsville, and Elisha Wooden, Indianapolis, Ind.; and two sisters, Bessie Mae Farrow, Hopkinsville, and Lucy P. Humphrey, Houston, Texas.
