Mr. Moore was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army. He was a math and science teacher for 36 years having taught two years in Wabash school district before enjoying a 34 year career at Zionsville Community High School where he retired from in 1990.
Mr. Moore was a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association, former member of the Zionsville Jaycees, and was active in Cub Scout Pack/Boy Scout Troop #358 in Zionsville.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly June Harmon Moore; his sons, Walter H. Moore (Lora) of Lebanon, Joseph P. Moore of Indianapolis, and Daniel D. Moore (Becky) of Grovetown, GA. Also surviving are his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
