From Hazleton Plain Speaker, Tues. Nov. 16, 1937:
William Klingerman, former Eckley resident, who celebrated his 86th birthday anniversary, is all set to be out before dawn December 1 when the deer hunters open the 1937 season. He was born in Jeddo but his family moved to Eckley when he was a small boy. He is the last of eleven children born to his parents. Mr. Klingerman was an engineer for Wentz & Co. on the North Side and for the C.M. Dodson Coal Co. at Beaver Brook for many years. He was the father of the late Eckley Klingerman of McAdoo, who represented the Third Schuylkill District in the State Legislature years ago. He now makes his home with his grandson, Elder Klingerman at Park Place near Mahanoy City.
