Anna Hanson of Prairie Farm, Barron County, Wis. was born in Voga-Prestjel Norga, Norway, Aug. 6, 1856, the daughter of Erik and Randi (Olsen) Hanson. She came to this country in 1868/69, her first home being in La Crosse, where she remained two years, then coming to Prairie Farm.
Anna was married May 10, 1884, to Samuel Moen. Mr. and Mrs. Moen had five children:
Louis, Agnes, Oscar, Sarah and Ragna.
After the death of her husband Mrs. Moen sold out the meat market, and for the past few years, since her children went, she has rented rooms to girl students so as not to be deprived of society. She is a member of the Norwegian Lutheran Church, and is a lady of refinement and pleasing social manners.
