Bernice A. Neverman, age 88, a resident of Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died early Tuesday morning, October 15, 2013 at Rivers Bend.She was born on January 11, 1925 in Hilo, Hawaii, daughter of the late Joseph and Emelia (Pimental) Arruda. Bernice attended St. Joseph Grade School and Hilo High School in Hawaii. On November 12, 1944, she married Harvey R. Neverman at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, Hawaii. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2000. Bernice grew up in Hawaii, moving to Wisconsin in 1945. Bernice was employed in the office at Mirro Aluminum Company, Manitowoc from 1959 until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of the former St. Paul Catholic Church, currently St. Francis of Assisi, Manitowoc and the Manitowoc Senior Center.Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law; Lorinda and Dale Zunker, Manitowoc, Ramona and John Durben, Cecil, WI, two sons and daughters-in-law; Harvey R. Neverman Jr. and Sandra Sweitzer, Decatur, IL, Walter Neverman and Chris Kalina, Albany, WI, seven grandchildren; Rick and Lynn Zunker, Manitowoc, Dean and Kelly Zunker, Manitowoc, Tracy and Corey Hucek, New Franken, WI, Brian and Susan Neverman, Tolono, IL, Matthew Neverman and special friend, Kim Hoffman, Champaign, IL, Sara Neverman, Madison, WI, Sean Neverman and fiancee, Kate Litzow, West Bend, WI, nine great grandchildren; Brynn Zunker, Caitlin Seguin, Shelby Zunker, Mason Zunker, Miranda Hucek, Kendall Neverman, Joel Neverman, Lauren Neverman, Isaac Neverman. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.Bernice was also preceded in death by one grandson, Cory Durben, four sisters and brothers-in-law, one brother and sister-in-law. entombment at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
