E. Gerould Wolfe, 86, of East Smithfield, Pa. died on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa.

He was a very courageous patient for the last month of his life. Family and friends are welcome to call from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2007 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 110 West Main Street, Troy, Pa.

The funeral service to honor Gerould's life will be held Monday, April 9 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jasper Smith officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery following the funeral service.

Gerould was born on November 29, 1920 at home in Troy, Pa. He was the son of the late Clarence E. and Marion (Gerould) Wolfe.

He has one brother, Edmund Wolfe of R.R. Milan, Pa.

On October 14, 1941 he married Eileen Kasson. Eileen survives him as do his five daughters: Beverly (Alfred) Finnerty, Bonnie (Alan) Paris, Sheryl (Larry) Paris, Darlene (Clifford) Packard, and Candise (Roger) Learn. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren: Diana Finnerty Curran, Darla Finnerty Locke, Christopher Paris, Penny Paris Richter, April Paris Fletcher, Justin, Ashley, and Brittany Packard, Charity Learn Walker, Tricia, Bryanna, Susan, Violet, and Roger Learn III.

He was predeceased by his granddaughter Darnelle Marie Packard on April 6, 2006. Gerould was also blessed with 15 great-grandchildren whom he adored. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and prayed for them faithfully every night. He is also survived by two nephews, Larry and David Wolfe and one niece Nancy Schomp. Gerould was a graduate of the Smithfield School, class of 1939.

Gerould was a lifelong dairy farmer. He owned a farm in East Smithfield Township of which he thought the world. One of the jobs he enjoyed the most was driving the tractor. Gerould Liked to travel and fish. He especially liked to fish in Canada. He liked to have his family involved in his travels and fishing trips. He will be greatly missed by his family.
