Mrs. Clara Virginia Abbott, 81, of Reeders’ Memorial Home, Boonsboro, formerly of Rt. 1, Keedysville, died Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown. She was the wife of George Wilbur Abbott, who predeceased her.

Born in Burkittsville, Mrs. Abbott was a daughter of the late Benjamin Edward and Martha Anna Peiffer Butts.

Mrs. Abbott was a member of the First Church of God, Mount Briar.

Surviving are:
four daughters,
Martha Jones,
Marjorie Griffith and
Patsy Reeder, all of Boonsboro, and
Faye Breeden, Hagerstown,
two sons,
Garland Abbott and
Eddie Abbott, both of Hagerstown,
11 grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro, by the Rev. Robert S. Easterday. Interment will be in Rohrersville Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Church of God Memorial Fund, Keedysville, MD 21756.
