Arthur "Art" Eugene Adams, 72, of 2 Clear Creek Court, husband of Frances Farmer Adams, died Saturday at his home.

Mr. Adams was born in Borger, Texas, a son of the late Floyd Earl Adams, Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Cooper Adams Orlandini. He was a retired truck driver for Texize and a salesman at LJ Vaughn's Gun Shop in Simpsonville. He served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Hejaz Shrine and of Holy Cross Episcopal Church.

In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived two daughters, Frances Elaine Wilson, of Simpsonville, and Valerie Adams McKinney, of Fountain Inn; two sons, Robert Dean Adams, of Mauldin, and Michael Eugene Adams, of Simpsonville; a half brother, Larry G. Clark, and a half sister, Anna Orlandini, both of Florence, Oregon. His grandchildren are Kerry Wilson Wood, Adam Wilson, Ivy Wilson, Sarah McKinney, Rebekah McKinney, Katy Adams Howland, Betsy Adams and Glenn Adams. He also had three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Episcopal Church. Burial will follow at the Church Memorial Garden.
