High Point, August 6-

Thaddeus W. Auman, 63, furniture worker, died unexpectedly tonight at his home on Tomlinson Street.

Thaddeus and Lettie Frye were married May 22, 1896 in Randolph County, NC.

He is survived by his wife; five sons, Reggie Dalton Auman, Cotoy Lee Auman, Thomas Leighton Auman, and Homer Wayne Auman, of High Point, and Colon Chester Auman, of Charlotte; one daughter, Mrs. Madeline Miller, of Hudson, Wyoming; two brothers, Alpheus Auman, of near Seagrove, and Lebbeus Auman, of Asheboro; one half-brother, Rufus Auman, of Star; one half-sister, Mrs. Sarah A. Fields, of Pleasant Garden; and 16 grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Central Methodist church in Asheboro. Interment will follow in the Asheboro Cemetery.

DC lists Franklin's first wife Sarah as his Mother. This is not probable as her surviving children are listed as half brother and half sister in his obituary. Sarah died in 1877. Every documented source researched, lists Thaddeus born in 1878.
