Robert L. Piere, 87, husband of Dorothy Piere of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC. Robert was born October 16, 1921 in Washington, DC. He served in the US Army during World War II helping to liberate the Nazi concentration camps in Germany. Following his service to our country, Robert had a career as a civilian Production Engineer for the US Navy.
Robert will be deeply missed by his wife of 38 years, Dorothy; four daughters; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
