Bob, age 83, a longtime resident of Fresno, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2005. He was preceded in death by his wife, Winona Magnuson; and his parents. Bob graduated from Kingsburg High School and went on to obtain his Master's Degree in viticulture at University of California, Davis. After more than 30 years of employment with FMC Corporation, he retired in 1985. He also volunteered many hours at Valley Children's Hospital and truly valued the time he spent with children. Bob was also a WWII Veteran and served with the 1505th AAF Base Unit of the U.S. Army. He was a top gunner on a B29 which carried out operations in the Pacific Theatre, India, and China. He had several commendations for his service. A special thank you is extended to the nurses of the Intensive Care Unit of Fresno Community Hospital, as well as Dr. T. Evans, Dr. K. Bilello and Dr. E. Lawson. A Graveside Service will be held at Floral Memorial Park in Selma, CA on Friday, October 7, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to Northwest Church, 5415 N.
