GREENSBORO Mrs. Margaret Parker Coltrane, 89, of Greensboro, died Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Wesley Long Hospital.She was born on January 19, 1927, in Greensboro to the late William Frank and Frances Elizabeth Parker. She was active in her church and various charities. Margaret retired from Greensboro City Schools after 30 years of service teaching school.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lee "Jack" Coltrane of 65 years; daughter, Debbie C. Bivins and sister, Vera Parker Kirkman.Survivors include her daughters, Libby Webb of Hillsville, VA; Becky Jones of Greensboro; and Kathy Anthony and husband Kenneth of Reidsville. She has five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.The committal service will be at Rehobeth United Methodist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, July 26 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service in the sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Paul McClure will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rehobeth United Methodist Church-Family Life Center, 4475 Rehobeth Church Road, Greensboro, NC 27406 or to Friends Homes of Guilford, 925 New Garden Road, Greensboro, NC 27410.
