A longtime resident of Sacramento, he passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2005, in Lakeport, CA, where he resided. Carl was born in Metz, WV, on Jan. 30, 1918. He is survived by his wife Helen. He is remembered as a loving husband, brother, father, stepfather, grandfather, and great-grandfather to those he leaves behind. Carl was a superb craftsman in both metal and wood. He enjoyed making custom rifles, gardening, fishing, hunting, and traveling. He was supervisor of machinists at Aerojet General for many years. Memorial services will be held at Lombard and Company, 1550 Fulton Ave., Sacramento, on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 1:00 PM, followed by a reception at American River Community Church, 3300 Walnut Ave., Carmichael.
