Genevieve P. "Pat" Chapin, 67, of 414 S. Main St., Wapwallopen, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, in her home.
Genevieve was born at Pee Wee Hill on April 17, 1938, a daughter of the late William and Mabel (Ruckel) Baucher. For 36 years she worked for Wise Potato Chips until retiring.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Wapwallopen, and a number of various Christian women's groups. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed helping others, flowers, gardening, seasonal decorating and collected snowmen.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Baucher.
She will be remembered by her husband, Larry, whom she was married to for 47 years this past Dec. 31; three children, Mrs. Bruce (Deborah J.) Deschaine, Bloomsburg; Cynthia Titman, Berwick; David Chapin and his wife, Suzanne, Nanticoke; six grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Michael, Tabitha, Natasha and Brooke; five great-grandchildren; sister Lois Jane Baucher, Berwick.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Heller Funeral Home, Nescopeck, where services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. William Mackey-Wisor officiating. She will be laid to rest in Old River Church Cemetery, Wapwallopen.
