Funeral Riles
Held Monday
Niels H. Chrlstensen, aged 75, passed away at his residence in
Grant township Friday morning. He was born in Ashland township
on Feb, 8, 1884, and had been a lifelong resident of this area, He
married Dagmar Paulsen April 26, 1917, in Muskegon.
A retired farmer, Mr Christensen was a member ot the Ashland Evangelical Lutheran church, Ashland Grange, Ashland Farm
Bureau and at one time served on the Grant School Board for
20 years.
His survivors are: his wife; two sons, two sisters, and eight grand-
children.
During World War II the Christensens lost two sons, Edward
and George, in action and In 1957 their only daughter, Doris, (Mrs
Howard Longcore) was killed In an auto-traln accident on the out-
skirts of the village.
Funeral services for Mr Chrlstensen were arranged by McKinley Funeral Home and conducted in the church of his choice, with
Rev. Richard Swedberg, his pastor, officiating. Burial was in
Parkview cemetery.
