Mrs. Pauline Stewart Kirby Moss, 90, died Tues. April 19, 2005. Services will be conducted at 11a Saturday at McLean and Son Funeral Home in Gastonia. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.
Mrs. Moss, a native of Gaston Co., was born Feb. 2, 1915, to the late John Stewart and the late Hannah Bridges Stewart.
She was the youngest of seven children. She was for many years, office manager of Morris Jewelers in Gastonia. Later, she and her husband, Walter owned and operated Kirby Piano Company in Gastonia. After Walter's death in 1970, she married Fred Moss of Gastonia. Widowed again, she became a loyal friend and companion of the Jamestown Condominium Community before moving to Greensboro to be near her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Joan Bass and her husband Eddie of Julian; three granddaughters, Amy Mohan and husband Ken of Watertown, Margaret Bass and husband Ray Nyeholt of Silver Springs, MD., Sarah Bass of Brooklyn, N.Y; two great granddaughters, Sage and Asia Mohan of Walkertown; and many loving nieces and nephews. Pauline was a loving mother and grandmother.
