Lois graduated from TaHoMa High School, Covington, Wa., in 1934. She married Gerald Bartholomew of Hobart, Wa., in 1940. They had two daughters; Linda and Laurel. She worked as a clerk for the U.S. Navy Department at Sand Point and Pier 91, Seattle. Lois also had a position as a staff member for the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia for 20 years.
Lois and Gerald joined the Episcopal Church in 1940 and were long time members of Saint Andrew's Church, Seattle, and later St. George's Church, Maple Valley.
Lois was predeceased by her husband Gerald and her sisters Grace Androes and Vivian Mathison. She is survived by her sister Vera Weiss, her two daughters Linda Borth and Laurel Hogan, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a wealth of nieces and nephews and their offspring.
Lois was an active church member and was a volunteer for the Maple Valley Historical Society. She was very interested in genealogical research and spent many days tracing the roots of her family. Lois enjoyed sewing, gardening and travel. She always said that her family was the most important facet of her life.
