Elizabeth Adrian Edinger, 96, of Michigan City passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 4:55 p.m. at The Arbors in Michigan City.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at the Root Funeral Home. Private family entombment of the cremains will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Elizabeth was born March 11, 1917 in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota to the late Peter and Elva (Eastman) Adrian.

On January 29, 1939 in Michigan City she married Glenn L. Edinger who passed away on December 7, 2006.

Surviving is one daughter: Tina (Rodney) Green of La Porte; one son: Arthur "Art" Edinger of New Castle, Indiana; two grandchildren: Elizabeth Green and Lee Green; and one great-grandchild: Jaylee Hullinger.

Preceding her is death are two sisters: Flossie Lemons and

Anna Raska and one brother Peter Adrian Jr.

Elizabeth and her family were proud of the fact that She was one of the last remaining children of a Civil War Veteran. She was a member of First Congregational Church, loved watching her soap operas and her family was very important to her.

Memorials may be made to the Michiana Humane Society.
