Mrs. Heckathorn Is
Taken by Death at 81

Mrs. Edna M. Heckathorn, 81, of 274 W. Washington St., died Friday in the Homestead Nursing Home after a lingering illness, She was a lifetime Painesville resident.

She was the daughter of the late William N. and Lena H. Collister.

Mrs. Heckathorn was born Oct. 19, 1888, in Painesville. Her husband, Frank D., preceded her in death in 1918. She was a graduate of Painesville High School and Western Reserve University, Cleveland. She was a member of First Church Congregational, New Connecticutt Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; American Association of University Women and was a former Morley Library trustee.

Survivors include two daughters, Miss Dorothy Heckathorn of Painesville and Mrs. William R. (Frances) Mueller, Baltimore; three grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death.
