Seaman Maryland Continental Navy. Was a seaman on board the O Defence in 1776. Capt. George Cook was in command.

Michael was from Baltimore, Maryland. Their oldest son was born in Maryland in 1780. After the War he settled on a farm in Stock Township, Harrison County, Ohio. Today the farm would be near county road 22 or Lower Clearfork Road.

He and his brother are buried on the farm that was his.

Note that both this and the DAR records show born in Ireland and have not found a MD birth record. There are several Michael Conway's in MD around this time, some stayed in Maryland but this one went to Ohio.
