Falls, Edwin J., 77 of Cummaquid, died at his home Sunday October 20, 2013, with his loving wife, Arline J. (Curcio) Falls, by his side.

Born in New York, NY, Mr. Falls was the son of the late Joseph and Estelle (Branagan) Falls.

He served in the U.S. Army at Fort Dix, NJ, Kentucky and Stuttgart, Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1958.

Ed Falls was raised and educated in Long Island, NY, where he attended C.W. Post University. He lived in Hingham for more than 20 years and on Cape Cod for the past 25 years.

He had a dedicated and successful career in the food industry working for Horn and Hardart, Welch's Co., Lawry's Foods, and Ocean Spray. For the past 30 years he was CEO of Action Sales & Marketing Co., a thriving food brokerage firm.

An avid traveler with a passion for food and fine wine, Mr. Falls was an accomplished cook who loved to entertain his family and friends. He traveled to Ireland more than 30 times and traveled throughout California and Europe. His interests also include American History, politics, and sports. He was a coach in basketball and softball for all three of his daughters.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Falls is survived by three daughters, Laura Chambers of Wareham, Lynda Bassett of Norwood, and Carolyn Falls Selinger of Wilton, CT; a sister, Joan Falls of Sarasota, FL; and three grandchildren, Marisa, Emily, and Shane. In addition to his parents, Mr. Falls was predeceased by three brothers, Arthur, Joseph, and Stanley Falls; and a sister, Adele Schwarz.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday October 24 in Sacred Heart Chapel, 32 Summer St., Yarmouthport.

Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
