Rose was the eldest child of Jacob and Margaretta (Koerber) Aust,

She was the granddaughter of Jacob & Katharina (Wendling) Ast (both of whom were from Illischestie, Bukovina, Austria), and John and Hannah (Pruner) Koerber (both of whom were from Germany).

Rose was the sister of William John Aust, Ida L. (Aust) Corbet, Margaret Elizabeth (Aust) Ellis, Ernest Aust, Henrietta (Karolina) Aust, Jacob Ludwig Aust, and Minna Louisa Aust.

She was also the half-sister of Frank Aust, Emma Marie "Emmy Lou" (Aust) Thomas, Ella Aust, and Margaret "Minnie" (Aust) Irwin Ray.

Rose was married first to Edward Francis Craron on July 26, 1913 in Hays, KS. They divorced in Denver, CO. on June 11, 1918. She next married Otto C. Krause on February 16, 1920 in Golden, CO. They divorced in April, 1926. Rose later married Ray Harry Deeter on April 13, 1926 in Greeley, CO. They were divorced by 1930. Finally, Rose met and fell in love with her soul mate - Howard Victor "Howdy" Sullivan, whom she married on August 29, 1931 in Salt Lake, UT. Rose and Howdy lived a long happy life together in Reno after that. She had no children.
