Dean O., 90, of Laramie died Tuesday September 24, 2013 at his home in Laramie.

He was born October 3, 1922, in Santee, Nebraska, the son of Charles and Isabelle (Barber) Alexander. He was married to Ruth Rehmus on November 28, 1942, in Papillion, Nebraska. He was a rancher and a manager for Big Horn Lumber. He was a World War II veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents, six brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Deanne Valdez of Rock Springs, Wyoming; a son Bernard (Ben) Alexander and his wife Betsy, of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren Tandi Valdez of Laramie; Dallas Valdez and his wife Tammy, of Rock Springs; Robert Valdez and his wife Kara, of Flower Mound, Texas; Jennifer Snelling and her husband Allen, of Sherwood, Oregon; Chad Alexander and his wife Jenny, of Thornton, Colorado and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday October 1, at 10:00 a.m. at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home with Kim Blake officiating.
