Frances Elaine Stanley I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2nd Timothy 4:7 Frances Elaine Stanley, 72, of Bristol, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Barboursville, Ky., on July 27, 1941, a daughter of the late Calvin W. Cooke and Orilla Grant Cooke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Creasy Grant; brother, Charles Cooke; and two aunts, Barbara Grant, and Billie Sauer. Frances is survived by her husband of 23 years, Kerry Stanley Sr.; daughters, Tina Richards and husbnad, David of Kingsport, Tenn., Kristi Worley and husband, Mark of Blountville, Tenn., and Penny Mayne of Bristol, Va.; son, Lonnie Mayne and wife, Sherry of Piney Flats, Tenn.; step-daughter, Sandy Heath of Bristol, Va.; step-son, Kerry G. Stanley Jr. and wife, Brandi of Bristol, Va.; sisters, Robin Davis and husband, Mark of Rogersville, Tenn., Vicky Mullins and husband, Glen of Rogersville, Tenn., Sue Eaton and husband, Jim of Kingsport, Tenn., Patricia Ball and husband, Roger of Bristol, Va., and Charlotte Shelton and husband, Warren of Corbin, Ky.; sister-in-law, Carol Cooke of Barboursville, Ky.; brothers, Warren Cooke and wife, Vicky of Rogersville, Tenn., Jimmy Cooke and wife, Debbie of Rogersville, Tenn., and Richard Cooke of Rogersville, Tenn.; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; aunt, JoAnn Morris; uncle, Johnny Grant; and beloved dog, Baby. The family would like to express a special thank you to Ridgeview Apartments, Bristol Health and Rehabilitation Center, Cambridge House and The Center for Aging and Health of Erwin, Tenn., for all the love and care shown to Frances during her illness. Frances would like to thank her husband, Kerry, for taking care of her, and being there for her and by her bedside until her time of death. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 pm Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Blevins Funeral and Cremation Services, Bristol, Va. The funeral service will follow 7 p.m. with the Rev. Roger Ball officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2013, at Mountain View Cemetery.
