MOUNDRIDGE - Ervin P. "Stumpy" Krehbiel, 86, died Oct. 30, 2005, at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge.
He was born Oct. 15, 1919, in McPherson County, the son of Gustav E. and Emma T. Stucky Krehbiel. A lifetime area resident, he was a farmer.
He belonged to Eden Mennonite Church, rural Moundridge.
On Nov. 17, 1942, he married Melva M. Graber in Moundridge. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, E. Roger Krehbiel, Berryton, and Gregory A. Krehbiel, Moundridge; a daughter, Miriam M. Krehbiel, Bakersfield, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Herman J. Krehbiel; two sisters, Frieda Waltner and Anne Regier; and a grandson.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eden Mennonite Church, rural Moundridge, with Pastors Floyd Born and Jim Ostlund presiding. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moundridge Funeral Home. There will be a private family burial prior to the service.
Memorials may be sent to the church or the Memorial Home, both in care of the funeral home.
