DR L M ABLE DIES

St Matthews Man Stricken on Main Street

While walking quietly down the main street of the town this afternoon, Dr L M Able, a prominent druggist of this place, was stricken and fell to unconsciousness, dying a few moments later. Medical aid was summoned, but of no avail. Dr Able had been in declining health for some months.

Having been identified with the life of the town for almost his entire life, Dr Able had become, by reason of his good business methods, one of this community's most substantial citizens. Full of energy, good for his debts, and with a tact for forwarding his legitimate interests, he succeeded well. he is survived by his father and mother, Dr and Mrs A R Able; two brothers, E W Able of the Saluda bar and Albert Able, who holds a governmental position with the navy yard at Charleston, and his sisters, Misses Lora, Harlee and Beatrice Able, and his children, two sons and two daughters. Only a few months ago his wife preceeded him to the grave.
