KERRVILLE - J. Carolyn Obermiller, 67, of Kerrville, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999, at a local hospital. She was born in Wichita Falls on May 12, 1932, to Virgil and Vaudia Hughes Lillard. She married Harry G. Obermiller on Aug. 16, 1951, in California. She was a longtime resident of Lawndale, Calif., before moving to Kerrville in 1997. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Harry G. Obermiller of Kerrville; a special little dog, Sherrie; a daughter, Laura Baldwin and her husband Andrew of Murrieta, Calif.; her mother and stepfather, Vaudia and Paul Prout of Ventura, Calif.; her father and stepmother, Virgil and Audrey Lillard of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; 1 a sister, Shirley Murray and her husband Jack of Westminster, Calif.; and a granddaughter, Lisa Baldwin of Murrieta, Calif. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, at Kerrville Funeral Home. Dr. David W. Griffin, pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville. Arrangements are under the direction of Kerrville Funeral Home.
