Kenneth R. Bublitz of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013, at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 90 years.

He was born April 1, 1923, in Saginaw, to the late Carl and Jenny (Lauer) Bublitz. After serving with the US Marine Corps in the Pacific Theatre during World War II, he married Doris Ann Sturm on June 1, 1946. They had a blessed life. Doris predeceased him February 22, 2003. Ken had taken very good care of her as her health had declined. They were charter members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Ken worked for Miles Machinery most of his life and in his retirement he enjoyed the flea market and resale business. He loved his family. His next real love was hunting, not just for the hunt, but for being with friends and in the wonderful outdoors.

Surviving are one daughter, two sons and their spouses, Carol and Scotty Locker, Tim Bublitz, Gary and Pat Bublitz; seven grandchildren, René (Scott) Chinery, Anne Winslow, Debbie (Bill) Dewey, Tyler and Nathan Bublitz, Beth and Katy Locker; eight great-grandchildren, Sean (Emily), Jordan and Lexi Chinery, Hannah and Jacob Dewey, Tyler and Dylan Winslow and Ashley Clark; four great-great-grandchildren, Bella, Lily, Zoey and Spencer; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; several nieces, nephews and their families. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by three brothers and one sister, Lyle, Frank and Robert Bublitz, and Margaret Reinke, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5335 Brockway Road. Rev. Mark P. Buckert will officiate. Private burial will be in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. Ken's family will receive friends at the W. L.
