Bobby graduated from Stratford Elementary School. He joined the Air Force after graduating from Lemoore High School in 1956. After four years in the Air Force, he settled in Santa Clara County and started his long career working for Lockheed-Martin.
Bobby loved to bowl, and although she did not bowl, that is where he met his future wife, Marina Khodadad. They were married July 17, 1965. They had no children, but a piano student of Marina's, Jon Nakamatsu, became like a son and certainly a long time friend to both.
After the death of Marina in 2009, Bobby moved to Atwater, California, where he enjoyed bowling, fishing (bought his own boat), and playing pool (put a pool table in his family room). He was very happy with the new friends he met and doing the things he loved. He died from complications of surgery on September 21, 2011.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brothers, Jimmy Dale, Billy Ray, Edward Means, James Nathan, and sister Judy Ann.
He is survived by his sister, JoAnne (George) Ziel; six nieces and four nephews.
Bobby was interned at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Section C-18, Site 114. A short program will be conducted at the flagpole area as a tribute and final salute, Monday, January 27th, 2014.
