Helen married first Howard E. Anthony. Together, they purchased the Heath Company out of bankruptcy and built it into the premiere hobbiest electronics company in the world. After Howard died in a plane crash in 1954, Helen sold the company. She remained an owner of Anthony Oil Company.
She married Joseph Carver in 1958.
Helen remained very active in church and local philanthropy, sponsoring engineering awards and scholarships, taking on publishing projects, and donating land, as well as money for construction projects. Her strongest causes were the Salvation Army and the Humane Society.
