Samuel H. "Doc" Stafford, Sr, age 79, of Staffordsville, Virginia died Sunday, March 16, 1997 in Giles Memorial Hospital, Pearisburg. He was born April 16, 1917 at Staffordsville, the son of the late John Bowman and Carrie Imogene Vest Stafford. He is survived by his wife, Goldie Sink Stafford, one son, three daughters, 12 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
