Family visitation to be held on Sunday evening at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro. Funeral service to be held on Monday, October 3 at Church Of the Good Shepherd. Service will be led by the Reverend Jay Hobbs. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
Survived by two sons - one of Mobile, Alabama and the other of Greensboro, North Carolina; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, J. Graham Smith Jr. (listed as Jr. in the obit, but could be a mistake for Sr.). Graduated from Salem College and was an active member of the Alumni Association. Pauline was also a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and had been a secretary of the organization at one point. She was a key player in establishing Meals On Wheels in Asheboro. Pauline was also a member of the Dogwood Garden Club.
Pauline was 87 years old and a past resident of Westmont Drive. She died at Maryfield Nursing Home, High Point.
