Mrs. Emma Ankrom Morris, 78, of Jefferson, R. D. 1, died at 5:45 p.m. Friday, January 12, 1968 in Greene County Memorial Hospital, following a lingering illness.
She was born June 11, 1889, in Jefferson Township, a daughter of William and Mary Stilwell Ankrom.
She was married to George Morris, who died April 15, 1953.
Mrs. Morris was a housewife and had been a life-long resident of Jefferson Township. She was a member of the Jefferson Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Lloyd and Furman Morris, of Jefferson, R. D. 1; a daughter, Mrs. Isabelle Pitcock, of Jefferson, R. D. 1; three brothers: Jake Ankrom, of Jefferson; Thomas Ankrom, of Jefferson, R. D. 1, and Winfield Ankrom, of Waynesburg; a sister, Miss Stella Ankrom, of Jefferson, R. D. 1; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A son, Glenn, and a brother, Lester, are deceased.
