Matty was born September 9, 1977, and lived in Prairie Village his entire life. He was a 1996 graduate of Bishop Miege High School, 2000 graduate of Kansas State University and entered Mundelein Seminary in 2003. He was preceded in death by his father, James M. Molnar, his maternal grandparents, Bill and Peggy Reiter, and his paternal grandfather James E. Molnar. He is survived by his mother, Pam Molnar, brothers Jason and Richard Molnar. (Arr; Porter Funeral Homes & Crematory, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS, (913) 438-6444).

From a young age Matty found joy in life. He loved his family, friends and holidays. Matty's path to the seminary began in 1993 at World Youth Day in Denver. From that day forward, he was so moved that he knew that he would spend the rest of his life in service to The Lord and his Catholic faith. That experience led to his complete and total involvement in youth ministry. He had a joy and enthusiasm for life that was contagious. Matty never knew a stranger, made friends easily, and always had a smile for everyone.

Matty had an adventuresome spirit which took him all over the country in his quest for knowledge and his thirst for understanding his faith. Matty wanted to absorb everything he could about his faith. Traveling was one of Matty's loves but music was just as special to him and was the thread that held everything in his life together. This love for music started at an early age and followed him throughout the rest of his life. Matty taught himself to play a myriad of instruments. Whenever the opportunity arose, he jumped to the occasion to entertain everyone.

To quote from Matty; "Don't rush. Take your time. Enjoy the scenery. Life is worth living. God is good. Do what you are supposed to be doing. Love God. Do what you will. I hope it fits into God's plan. Do what you can."

From Matty's last e-mail; "We must continue the mission. No--the mission continues, and we stay in the church and She continues the mission with us. Thank God for the Sacraments and the Holy Spirit." "I am blessed to have great friends. To Jesus through Mary."Matty Molnar,28, went home to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ on Sept.15,2005 in a DUI accident on the campus of Mundelein Seminary where he was studying to become a priest... MY FAITHFUL FRIENDS AND FAMILY:

I HAVE NEVER LEFT YOU
I CANNOT SPEAK, BUT I CAN LISTEN.
I CAN NOT BE SEEN, BUT I CAN BE HEARD.
SO AS YOU STAND UPON A SHORE,
GAZING AT A BEAUTIFUL SEA,
REMEMBER ME.
REMEMBER ME IN YOUR HEART,
IN YOUR THOUGHTS, AND THE MEMORIES OF THE TIMES WE LOVED.
THE MEMORIES OF THE TIMES WE SHARED.
FOR IF YOU ALWAYS THINK OF ME,
I WILL NEVER HAVE GONE.
