Albert Jr. was the 13th child born to Maudie Valera Gertrude (Pennington) Mitchell, Barber, Jenkins, Smith. He married Carol Jones 21 Aug 1971. They did not have children of their own but loved and cared for many. Albert was a God fearing, hard working man. He retired from the Alabama Board of Education with Lung disabilities. He brought many closer to God and he "walked what he talked".
