Charles H. Brown
Charles Hobart Brown, 55, of Lucasville, Rt. 2, died at his home at 4:30 a.m. today of complications following a two month illness.
He was born on June 10, 1895 near Stockdale, a son of William and Mary (sic; Sarah Ellen) Sampson Brown. Mr. Brown was a plummer.
In 1915, Mr Brown was married to Lottie Wilson, who died in 1918. Mr Brown married his first wife's sister, Myrtle Wilson in 1919.
Surviving are his second wife, two children by his first marriage, William of Greenfield and Mrs Evalyn Milar of Rosemount Rd. and two children of his second marriage, Frank and Mrs Ruth Bramblette, both of Lucasville, Rt. 2.
He also leaves three grandchildren and two brothers, James of Circleville and William of Sterling, Ill. and a sister, Mrs Emma Spriggs of Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, his parents and a brother.
Mr. Brown was a member of the Long Run Free Will Baptist Church, where services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. with Revs. E.T. Carter and Franklin Harness officiating.
The body will be at the residence today. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Emrick Funeral Home.
