Mrs. George T. Swaniger - Mrs. Martha Evelyn Swaniger, 51, of Waynesburg R.D.4, wife of George T. Swaniger, died in her home at 3:45 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 1959, after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 10, 1907, at Holbrook, a daughter of Harvey and Myrtle Roberts Knisely; both survive. She had resided most of her married life in the Waynesburg area and was a member of the Holbrook Christian Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are the following sons and daughters: Virginia, wife of Woodrow Firestone, of Waynesburg; Betty, wife of Millard Cox, of Waynesburg; Dolores, wife of Albert Wood, of Waynesburg; Shirley, wife of William Lancy, of Waynesburg; Peggy, wife of Clyde Yeager, of Waynesburg; Sandra Swaniger, at home; Charles Swaniger, of McDonald, Ohio; James Swaniger, of Martinsville, Ind.; Donald Swaniger, serving with the Navy in Italy, and Robert and Ronald, at home.
Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Mrs. Catherine Price, of Bulger, and Mrs. Eleanor Gennant of Washington; one stepson, George Swaniger, Jr., of Girard, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Glen Zollars, of Waynesburg R.D.5, and seven brothers, Howard Knisely, of Burgettstown, Wayne Knisely, of Mather, Clarence Knisely, of Waynesburg, and Wesley, James, William and Robert Knisely, all of Jefferson.

Friends of Mrs. George T. Swaniger, of Waynesburg R.D.4, who died Saturday, March 28, 1959, are being received in the Church-Mariner Funeral Home, Waynesburg, where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, by Rev. Alan Gilmour. Burial in Oakmont Cemtery.
