1921-2011
On October 10, 2011 Clifford George Ashbee passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his loving children, daughter Linda(Dave), son Greg(Kelly), grandchild Darren(Wendy) and great granddaughter Ariel all of Kamloops, British Columbia. Brother Ronald(May) of Brandon Manitoba. Also many cousins,nephews,nieces and friends. Clifford was predeceased by his first wife Ada(nee) Wiginton, second wife Adele (nee) la Course parents George and Gwendolyne, twin sister Cora(Frank), sister Opel(Mel),Gladeys(Harry), brothers Johnny(Margaret),Lester and granddaughter Debbie.
Born April 7, 1921 near Shell Lake, Saskatchewan. Cliff worked the fields of the prairies till 1939 when he moved to Kamloops and enlisted in the army. Serving over seas as a motorcycle messenger Clifford met his first wife and was married. Returning to Kamloops Clifford worked for a lumber mill, retirement home, and the Kamloops Legion before starting his own business. He always loved his family and pets and his many friends at the Kami Inn.
We will always love you Dad and will never forget your loving,generous, and fun spirit.
A Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. with Minister Bill Ashbee at the Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops, British Columbia. The burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kamloops S.P.C.A. 1211-8th St., Kamloops, BC V2B 2Y3
