Doris Archer Presqe Isle 86. Died Saturday 9-1-1998 at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born 8-5-1912 in Presque Isle, the daughter of Frank and Julia (Colpitts) Drake. She worked in the civil service, worked as a cook for SAD #1 and was a police matron. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church and was very active in the Ida Saunders Club and the Up and Coming Club, a member of the Aroostook Rebekah Lodge, and a volunteer for the Presque Isle Republican Party. She is surived by a sister, Beatrice Margesson of Caribou, a sister inlaw, Mildred Drake of Mars Hill and a special aunt to 12 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Aubrey Archer, 6 brothers an sisters, Villa Lee, Effie Reynolds, Margaret Adams, Cora Graham, Lewis Drake and Harold Drake. Burial in Fairmount cemetery.
