Mrs. Dunn had a genuine joy which she tried to share with others. Her motto was "live, laugh, love and be happy." She loved the Lord and devoted her life to him.
She was married to Thomas Wade Dunn who preceded her in death in 1969. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Wadena Dunn George and a son, Philip Earl Dunn.
Surviving is a daughter, Ruth D. Mayo and husband Bob of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Paul Winslow of Greensboro, Jay Ingram of High Point, Kathy McIntyre of Wilmington, Donna Charleson of Wilmington; seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Reverend Tony Thomas. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
