Lawanda Crain of Centralia, IL passed away on November 5th, 2013 at 3:58 am. She was a homemaker and retired restaurant cook.

Funeral services for Lawanda Crain will be held on Friday, November 8th, 2013 at the Paradise Cemetery in Salem at 10:30am with Jim McGrew officiating. There will be no public visitation. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson Foundation or to the Donor's Choice and may be left with the Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Crain is survived by two daughters Darlene (Crain) Clark and Sherry (Crain) Meyer; six grandchildren Erin (Clark) Quick, Geoffrey Clark, Kevin Meyer, Kimberly (Meyer) Nicholls, Kyna Crain, and Robert Crain Jr; ten great-grandchildren Courtney Edgeworth, Macy Clark, Corey Meyer, Caden Meyer, Caleb Meyer, Cameron Meyer, Kerstina Tabor, Michael Crain, Mikayla Crain, and Alan Crain; sister-in-law Mary Smith; brother-in-law Elmo Flenniken.

She was preceded in death by two sons George Jr and Robert Crain; sisters Daisy, Erma, and Lois; brothers William and Lyle; brothers-in-law Jim Smith, Galen Crain, Johnnie Crain, Junior Bill Crain, and Jule Crain; great-granddaughter Claire Quandt.

Lawanda Crain was born on November 8th, 1925 to Henry and Nora (Toler) Meadows in Snow Hill, Arkansas. She married George D Crain in St. Charles, MO in 1941. Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.
