Ingram Worthy Bray, Jr., 79, died at 2:50 AM Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, in Lafayette Home Hospital. He was born June 15, 1921, in New Richmond, and was a lifelong Lafayette area resident. On Jan. 16, 1944, he married Mary Ann Lucas in Lafayette; she survives.

In 1983, Mr. Bray retired from the shipping department at Alcoa Inc., working there 40 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific with the 533rd Boat and Shore Regiment, Company A. He was a member of American Legion Post 11, Lafayette Fun Squares, Square Dance Club, Alcoa Retirees, and Alcoa 25-Year Club.

Surviving with his wife are a son, Richard Bray (wife Peggy) of Kokomo; a daughter, Marcia Gillespie (husband Terry) of Cottonwood, AZ; five brothers, Claude Bray (wife Mary), Mervyn Bray (wife Elsie), both of Lafayette, Ralph Bray (wife Johanna) of Erie, PA, Stanley Bray (wife Betty) of Baytown, TX, and William Bray (wife Ardyce) of Wisconsin; and a sister, Pauline Winger of Dayton.
