Ada E. Grisso Durnell Jeffords, 79, of Parkersburg died July 19, 2004, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg.

She was born Jan. 21, 1925, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late James B. Grisso and Vera I. Betz Grisso. She was a homemaker, member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, in the Rosary Alter Society and was very active with the Senior Citizens of Parkersburg.
Survivors include a son, Michael A. Durnell and wife, Joy, of Belpre; brother, Charles B. Grisso of Ravenswood; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four nieces; and one nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Charles N. Durnell and James Jeffords; brother, Albert Lewis; and companion of over 20 years, Joe Smith.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Casey Mahone as celebrant. Interment will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg with vigil service at 8 p.m.
