Paul S. Armstrong, 72, of 660 West Eighth Ave., Marion, died Wednesday morning at Mercy Hospital following a long illness.
A resident of Marion since, 1976, he was born May 6, 1910, at Belle Plaine. He was married to Faye Chalupsky on Nov. 29, 1934, at Nashua. Mr. Armstrong farmed in the Springville area from 1932 to 1974. He was a member of the Springville United Presbyterian Church and Masonic Lodge No. 139, A.F. and A.M.
Survivors besides his wife include two sons, Gary L. of Center Point and Gene P. of Springville; two brothers, Charles of Marion and Marion of Cedar Rapids; one sister, Faye Poe of Buena Park, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. Friday at the Murdoch Chapel, Marion, by the Rev. Steve Parker. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. A memorial fund has been established.
