William married Elizabeth McEuen McBride on June 28, 1868 in Dade Co., Missouri.
In 1884, the Haslams moved to Pleasant Valley in Riverside Co., California. (Now known as Winchester, CA.) He became a prosperous rancher and farmer. He invested in a Brick Making operation. He served as a Judge at one point.
He and his wife, Elizabeth, were instrumental in the building of the United Methodist Church in Winchester.
William passed away while visiting relatives in San Diego, California.
